English National Curriculum vs Key Concepts – Key Stage 3
A linked spreadsheet showing how the Key Concepts map to the Science National Curriculum in England at Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14).
Key Concepts addressed:Details
The Science National Curriculum in England offers opportunities for pupils to develop critical thinking skills throughout the subject content. The general skills that pupils are expected to develop are listed in the curriculum document as separate from the content, under the heading “Working Scientifically”.
As part of the CEBM’s EinSTein project, we have mapped relevant “Working Scientifically” statements from the Key Stage 3 (11-14 year olds) English National Curriculum for Science against the TTi Key Concepts, producing a list that can be ordered by curriculum statement or by key concept.
This document is the first iteration of the curriculum map, with the intention being to expand it to map TTi key concepts against the Science Curriculum for Key Stage 2 (7-11 year olds) and 4 (14-16 year olds).
